Grants to Non-Official Organisation of Welfare

Objective

The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to Non-Official Organization doing welfare work among the tea tribes people for their all-round development.

Name of the Implementing Agency:

Directorate of Tea Tribes & Adivasi Welfare.

Criteria for selection:

The Non-Government organizations shall be selected by adhering to the following broad criteria :

• The organizations shall invariably be working for the socio-cultural development and welfare of the Tea Tribes Community.
• The organizations shall be a registered society under the  Societies Registration Act,1860.
• The organizations selected must have a reputation of being actively involved in the welfare and development activists of the Tea Tribes Community and must be endowed with an institutional legacy of positive contribution of any political organization towards the community.
• The organizations selected must not be involved with any political activities directly or indirectly and also must not be an associate organization of any political party.
• Preference shall be given to  Non-Official Organizations of the Tea Tribes Community.
